Contemporary Jewellery Exhibition

Rhona McCallum

Rhona’s work explores natural line and surface. Using heat to texture, colour and tarnish metal, she combines an unpredictable surface finish with controlled and restricted linear forms. Layering and repetition of straight lines allows three-dimensional structures and clusters to develop.

Travelling in the west of Scotland has provided much of the imagery from which Rhona’s jewellery is inspired, including details from geological forms, coastal plant life, rock carvings and eroded man-made structures.
